Once the door hinge is out of the way carefully drill out the hole where the screw used to be.

Dip the tip of a golf. Using your 3 8 drill bit drill out the old screw holes. Remove the loose screws and the hinge. The dowel i bought was 48 long so i cut off three pieces that were around 1 5 long.
